Treatment Outcomes (Read intake form carefully)
We will be honest in all our dealings with you as our trusted client. Esthetics is not an exact science and how you may respond to a given treatment will vary from person to person. It is virtually impossible to predict results and therfore payments are made for treatments to be performed – not for a specific result. However, we always strive to achieve the absolute best result that we can for you. Thank you for allowing us to serve you!

We believe in full disclosure, which means we strive to ensure that you understand the treatments you receive and the risks and benefits associated with each of them. With this in mind, please be assured that our team will only recommend treatments and products that will benefit you specifically, and which are appropriate for you. If you have any questions, at any time, please ask! We are here to help!

Also, please be advised that we reserve the right to refuse to provide service at any time, to anyone, for any reason.
Facial Appointment Preparation
(Read intake form carefully)
We ask that first-time facial clients prepare for their upcoming appointment by not waxing or threading for 3 – 5 days prior, and by not shaving and stopping the use of all active facial products for at least 2 days prior to your appointment unless otherwise instructed. Active facial products consist of the following:
– Electronic Facial Brushes (Clarisonic, Spin Brush, etc)
– Facial Scrubs
– Products Containing Acids (glycolic, salicylic, mandelic, etc.)
– Retinols
– Prescription Topicals (Retin-A, Topical Acne Prescriptions, etc.)
If you have, or are currently, using Accutane, please be aware that we will not be able to treat your skin until you have stopped taking the medication for at least 6 months, and up to 1 year, depending on how long you have been using the medication.
Most of our facial treatments consist of professional-level exfoliation, and the use of the above-listed products can make your skin very sensitive to treatment.
Special instructions may be given to you prior to more invasive treatments based on your individual needs.
All clients receiving facial treatments should arrive without makeup or wash their face with our provided products in the restroom prior to seeing the esthetician.
Before Your Sugaring Appointment
- Exfoliate the areas being sugared gently before your appointment.
- Your skin should be clean and dry. Please avoid using any powders, sprays, or lotions prior to your bikini sugaring treatment.
- Please do not wear any deodorant, oil, lotions, or any other skincare products on the areas you intend to have sugared.
- We cannot wax or sugar hair from sunburned skin.
- Please refrain from wearing tight clothing around the areas that have been waxed or sugared.
Post Waxing Care
Once you’re done, you’ll want to engage in some post care activities. Following the next few tips will help move things along nicely:
- Keep hands away. The Spa Den also thinks it’s important to avoid touching your newly hair-free skin. “This will not only clog pores but also transfer the bacteria that’s on your hands onto your newly waxed skin.
- I highly recommend not tweezing ingrown hairs in between waxing services.”
- Opt for a shower. Don’t take a hot bath for the rest of the day, as soaking in water could cause unnecessary irritation or pimples.
- Don’t be around too much heat. Avoid tanning beds, saunas, or steam rooms for the next two days.
- Skip Working-out and Sexual activity for at least 24-48 hours. (can cause ingrown hair)
- Exfoliate. Two full days later, if there isn’t any redness, use a mild exfoliator. This helps prevent ingrown hair. You can use an Ayate washcloth, for example, which gently exfoliates skin alone. It can also be lathered up with body wash and is more mold-resistant than loofahs.
- Fight the bumps. Tend Skin, And or Tea Tree oil available on amazon is a great brand for getting rid of pesky ingrown hairs.
